In the ultra-competitive smartphone market, you need a strong USP to cut through the clutter, especially if you’ve got a fraction of the big boys budget. This campaign takes a dig at Apple and Samsung, who arrived much later to the waterproof smartphone party.

We also submerged a freediver in a tank at the Gadget Show Live to dramatise the superior waterproof qualities of the Xperia Z3. To win one of the smartphones, followers tweeted the time our diver could stay submerged. The time was displayed underwater on a Z3 and streamed live across social channels #DiveintoSony.
